The Bridge this week: Halloween Party
Halloween is one of those American holidays that seems a bit morbid compared to the lighthearted nature of Thanksgiving or Valentine’s Day, for instance. I mean, do scary looking pumpkins really guard against evil goblins? Regardless, it’s still fun to take creative license with the flesh of a pumpkin and show off your art with the glow of a candle. This Thursday at the annual Bridges Halloween Party, you’ll have a chance to carve your own pumpkin, compete for the best Halloween costume, learn about the meaning of Halloween from a Christian perspective, and enjoy an awesome dinner and dessert! This is one Bridges holiday party you don’t want to miss! What will your costume be? Choose carefully if you want to win!
When: Thursday, October 31, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Where: Off campus at a local house. Transportation will be provided. Meet at the sidewalk in front of Gregory Gym on Speedway at 6:30 p.m. Look for the Bridges banner!
What: Dinner, pumpkin carving, face painting, costume contest, and a short discussion about the meaning of Halloween from a Christian perspective.
